利源東西二街排檔群位於中環CBD之內，以港島黎講係其中一個大型既攤檔集中地，雖然佢地有既攤檔數目，只係九龍旺角三街(花園街，廣東道同通菜街)既一成，但係香港島係香港最早發展(以殖民地歷史起計)既地方，最早既香港城市規劃--四環九約，就包括成個中環至西環堅尼地城。所以話，利源東西街可以話係同香港一齊發展。而呢度既排檔群，亦都非常具歷史價值。

Geographically, both Li Yuen Streets are at the heart of Central District. They are in the middle of Des Voeux Road and Queen's Road, which cross along Hong Kong Island. It can be accessed by bus, trams, and MTR, making it convenient for not only locals but also tourists. Therefore, you get lots of advantage in starting business here due to its accessibility.

但係，呢兩條巷有先天既限制，就係長度!全條巷要行完，唔駛幾分鐘，所以呢兩條巷既攤檔數目，只有一百二十幾檔，所以要响到開檔，絕對要爭崩頭。
However, there is a in-born weakness to these roads, length. It only takes minutes to finish walking these two roads. Therefore the stalls here are limited to around one hundred, making it highly competitive in order to get a place.
其實一直以黎，利源東西街都係港島著名既旅遊點，好多遊客都會响呢百幾個僅可容身既箱仔尋找心頭好，而呢一帶既舖頭亦都做好多遊客生意，不過隨著住時代既推展，每逢週末，你都會响度見到大量棕色皮膚，化著濃妝既外藉人士出現，齊齊執平野，因為中環係菲傭既聚腳點，除左頭先提及既環球大廈，過少少仲有皇后像廣場，同埋話立根香港但裁員最狠既匯豐銀行，齊齊同佔領中環班人一齊佔領中環，所以呢度都有好多菲傭响度購物閒逛，平時服侍香港主人，而家倒番轉俾香港人服務，都唔知算唔算風水輪流轉呢?不過，有錢唔通你唔搵?
Li Yuen Streets is one of the as a tourist spot, tourists all over the world floak here to explore in these green iron-made stalls. However, you will also see lots of South Asians like Philippines who work as helpers in Hong Kong shop in this area during weekends.

响利源街沿西環方向，係平民既國度，雖然有商業大廈，但係賣既野都偏向平民，除左迄立不倒既永安百貨，仲有上少少既H&M等，價錢都算係大眾，唔會係出現幾萬一件衫咁誇張既情況，唔好唔記得仲有菲傭聖地環球大廈，响呢個地帶亦仲有非常多既排檔响度擺賣。所以西面，絕對係香港本地生活既寫照。
On the place west to the Street, goods here are for general public, their prices are more affordable. Just like H&M historic Wing On, they will not cost thousands for a piece of clothing. And never forget World Trade Tower, the "Holyland" for Philippines. You will also find lots of hawkers hawk here. Therefore, west of the Li Yuen Street will show you a photo of Hong Kong local living.
至於東面(銅鑼灣方向)既世界就同西面天淵之別，一過畢打街呢條楚河，置地太子歷山三巨頭有幾多名牌坐鎮應該唔駛提大家都知:LV，Armani， Parda， Burberry，可想而知有幾多大陸同胞去完尖沙咀意猶未盡，要再黎呢度血拼，但係俾著生於香港，而家仲係為事業拼搏既你，你或者會覺得，呢度唔係你應該黎既地方，這個地方不是你的。而你除左見到報販呢類攤檔外，係唔會見任何既攤販群响度擺賣，有都只係零星既排檔，响香港島一個有咁百幾年擺賣歷史既地方黎講，呢度既小販清洗非常成功。
For the Eastern part, this is totally another story. Once you cross Pedder Street, the Landmark, Alexandra House and Prince Building occupied the area. LV, Armani, Parda and other luxurious brands open their shop here. You will find people thirsty for these brands spending generous here, if they are still dissatisfied after shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui. For those will are still striving for their career, you may think this is another world. And you will find few if not none hawkers, besides book stores, selling here.
